Lost 100 pounds
I really felt like I was going to be trapped in the 250’s till August or something. But I finally hit 100. It took about 10/11 months to do it, but I sure am happy about it. I still have 86 to go, but let’s ignore that for the time being, shall we?
My school’s health center is so sweet! After they weighed me, one of the women from the front came back and hugged me and said she was so happy for me and all that, and then my main nurse came in with a gift school gift card and a water bottle. I started to tear up, I was so touched! (Luckily, I had a card for her that day, so I was also prepared. :)) They’ve been with me since last year, 349, so I feel super close to them. They haven’t made me feel embarrassed for being upset, fat, or a combination. They’re just so, so sweet.
I feel like it’s finally downhill, you know? Like I’m just going to get closer and closer and that I’m actually going to be able to see something body wise. I’m just really excited, and ready to see the finish line.
…Yay!

Taking Time To Remember
So, I sat down with myself and thought about how I had started, back in April, 349, upset, and scared about Japan. Japan. As I start filling out the paper work, it's almost reignited my passion for working out and eating better. This was what it started out for, this started the change. As I do more research, I am more than aware that Japan is not a plus-size nation, and I am also aware of how truly uncomfortable I have felt at my biggest. I'm not going to let my hard work go to waste. I'm going there at goal weight, and that's final. I'm going to pull through.
At 349 pounds and 18 years old, something finally clicked. Out of all the whining and complaining and hoping and wishing, I finally did something about it. About ME. I decided then to make a change, and I feel that I owe it to the old, 349 pound me to stick it through to the end. I worked hard to get down to the 250's, and I'll continue to do that to get down to the 160's.
Sometimes I just need to sit back and take a look at what I've done to help be see what I can do. 98 pounds. In ten months I've lost almost a 100 pounds just through the power of me.
These last 88 won't know what hit 'em.

Last Day of Winter Break: A Two Pound Send Off
Seem to be down two more pounds this morning, only two more to reach 100. I'll be super happy.
I'm not too excited to get back to juggling school work and the gym, but it's something that has to be done, and that I'll have to get used to. Wish me luck.
Biggest Loser is on tonight. It's even more outrageous since the contestants are so big. And now there's "One Big Happy Family." Fat seems to pay the bills for networks now-a-days. That being said, I'll be watching both. :)

Creeping Towards 100
When I was typing in my new weight this morning, I also realized that I now have less to lose than I have lost. I know it's only a difference of six pounds, but you don't remember the beginning like I do. When it was, "20 pounds lost, 160 to go." That was so intimidating and I remember thinking, "This is never gonna happen." But it's happening. It's really happening.
This year, before my big trip, I wanna try and get all my stuff, physically, together. I'm African American, so I'm also embarking on a natural hair journey (google it for tons, and tons of info) and I'm also trying to get my skin under control once and for all. This year I want to get rid of anything that'll stop me from liking myself 100% that isn't surgery or just plain vanity.
I'll still be as nutty as a nut bar, but maybe I'll have less pimples, more hair, and a smaller waist line. :)
Love & Peace
Gabby.

Taking A Break: Freshmen Anna
Please keep her in your thoughts.
Until then, I'll be going it alone. Missed last week's weigh in due to salty, tasty, wonderful food overload and didn't want to go through the drama. Will update everyone this week.

2010 = Crunch Time
Well, this year has change me a whole lot. :D 93 pounds lightly, isn't that something? But this is no time for a break or a pat on the back. I'm still in the middle of my winter break. Weight loss is coming off in chunks, which isn't that motivating, but you just gotta keep moving, right?
Right now, I'm getting revved up for part two of my weight loss.
Around this time next year, I'll be packing my bags for Japan. :0 So, I have, in a nut shell, 12 months to lose 94 more pounds. I don't know if I get there, if it's possible, but that's pretty much what I have.
I'm scared! I don't wanna go chunky. D: Let's hope this goes well for me. I really want to enjoy this trip. I've wanted to travel there for so, so, so long. I don't want to ruin it with my waistline!
Wish me luck and I'll do the same to you. :)Love & Peace,
Gabby

You Know What? I Don't Care Anymore.
I'm trying my best, and I will lose this weight. I will become faster. I will become stronger. I will become healthier. I'm not letting anyone stop me anymore, including myself. I deserve to feel good, I deserve this chance, but I don't deserve your judgments.
It's just a matter of time now. I will make it to the finish line, just you wait, I'll make it.

Finals, Finals, Finals...And Christmas.
November 28th:
"I went out with friends today. For some god awful reason the mall and not the library was the place we decided to meet.
I have never been more depressed and sad then I was walking through the stores with them. When the hell did we start going to clothing stores!? We used to go to book stores and tea stores and game stores...now we're going to f**king Macy's? Of course they're all a size 2, so I felt like a huge giant around all of them, wading through clothes that won't ever fit me, even when I get to my goal weight. Hello! I'm 6ft tall! I'm never going to be a "junior."
I saw a pair of gloves I wanted and, surprise, surprise, my hands were too big for them. It sucked, because one of my friends came up and asked, "shopping for gloves?" and I had to admit that me and my fat ass hands couldn't fit into anything.
Boy, don't I feel great?
I spit out some crap about not liking to drive in the dark and got the hell out of there. I don't think I'll be going to the mall for a long, long, long, long time, let alone going out with friends. When did we become so different? It was really the worse outing ever and I regret going.
Glad they're doing well though.
P.S. Found out that I'm a 100% emotional eater. :) I actually ate before I went out so I wouldn't gorge myself. Ended up having waffle fries, two cookies (Big, huge, toll house cookies. Fabulous), I'm on my second slice of something called a "chocolate loaf," and I also had chicken and such with my healthy choice (before said chocolate loaf). I'm in the 2,300 now. I'm hoping all the walking I did today balances this out. I'm going to try to stop eating now and just get some sleep."
December 8th:
"Well, it's not all that dramatic, but my body is just being a real turd. It seems to lose weight in spurts. I have got through two plateaus in the last four months, and I'm pretty sure this is number three. Here's a break down of the pattern.
Went down to 271, then shot back up to 275, stayed there for weeks.
Went down to 266/264, stayed here for weeks.
Went down to 258, shot back up to 260, this is week two at 260.
I'm kind of running out of ideas. Do I need more food? Less food? Work out more? Is it the weight lifting? I'm running out of ideas."
The End.
Only two posts, but it's the info, in a nut shell, of what I've been going through. Did get back into the 250's today at 257. I'm hoping Christmas won't screw me over. My mom's coming down for some local food and our food is good...I'm gonna need an attack plan. <.<
I hope this finds everyone well though. Best of luck and don't give up. :)
Love & Peace,
Gabby
